Awards : Princess Takes Centre Stage at the Motor Boat of the Year Awards

2009 has begun with a flourish for Princess, not only did the company make the biggest impact of any other at this year’s London International Boat Show with the largest display of craft, but two of the company’s most popular models have also been crowned with the prestigious title of ‘Boat of the Year’ for their respective categories. The awards were judged by two of the leading UK magazine titles, Motor Boat and Yachting and Motor Boats Monthly, who praised the winner of the Flybridge category, the Princess 50, as “A phenomenal example of just how far boat design has come…….even larger boats would struggle to deliver a three-cabin layout of this calibre”. Similar praise was given to her handling and performance stating that the Princess 50 offered an “unbeatable partnership of a sure-footed, powerful ride for long voyages and a rewarding, responsive drive for coastal hops”. The Princess V45 was the clear winner for sports cruisers over 45 feet and wowed the judges not just with her performance but with her interior and exterior style too. The V45 was said to possess “true greatness” and offered “the kind of external cool looks that will turn heads for a lifetime”. With these accolades, together with the praise already heaped upon the new Princess models revealed at the London show, 2009 promises to be an exciting year for Princess Yachts.
