Following the battle of the men's semi-finals of Pascoes the Jewellers NZ Residentials in association with Configure Express at Albany Tennis Park the women's were also close encounters.
In the first of the semi's, it was a repeat of West End Cup semi between Dianne Hollands (Otgo) and Kairangi Vano (Akld). The first set was tight with Hollands having 4 set points before Vano forced a tiebreaker. Hollands took out the tiebreak 8-6. The second set was also close with Hollands triumphing 7 - 5 to take out the match.
In the other semi Tanya Samedelok and Leanne Baker had a much closer encounter than the West End Cup NZMT semi. Samedelok was again victorious 7-5 7-5 to again set up a final against Holland.

Singles Finals are to be held at 6pm tomorrow (Fri) indoors followed by the doubles final.
