FA Cup Classics From Man Utd, Liverpool And Everton Out Now On DVD

Leading sports DVD producer ILC Media has an impressive range of FA Cup Finals available on DVD, with exclusive rights to almost 50 FA Cup Finals. So if you’re looking for a classic cup final match, chances are we’ve got it! Here are three of the classic finals out now on DVD featuring clubs from the North West.

Man Utd v Liverpool 1977 FA Cup Final

Back at Wembley, Manchester United were determined to make amends for their previous year’s defeat to Southampton. But facing treble chasing Liverpool, the Merseysiders were odds on favourites to clinch the Cup.
The match was a tight affair, as both teams successfully managed to cancel each other out. But then came a frantic five minutes just after half time, which saw the trophy heading back to Old Trafford for the 4th time in their history.

Everton v Man Utd 1995 FA Cup Final
Everton's 1995 FA Cup success crowned a quite remarkable season in the club's illustrious history.

Not many teams suffer such poor league form that they dispense with the services of their manager...and then go on to win the FA Cup in the same season under the new man!

But that's exactly what happened to The Toffees in the 1994-95 campaign.
Mike Walker was sacked in the November, with Everton really struggling, but the arrival of Joe Royle was the catalyst for a dramatic upsurge in fortunes that peaked in the May sunshine at Wembley.

United, who just a week earlier has been pipped to the Premiership title by Blackburn Rovers, were desperate to avoid the 'double runners-up' tag, but Joe's Blue Army were not to be denied. With Dave Watson and David Unsworth forming an impregnable central defence, and Neville Southall in typically excellent form behind them, Everton held on for a famous victory to bring the FA Cup back to Goodison Park for the 5th time in the club's history.

Liverpool v West Ham 2006 FA Cup Final

Rafa Benitez's team never know when they are beaten, and that spirit was called upon again as opponents West Ham United raced to a 2-0 lead through a Carragher own goal and a smartly taken chance by Ashton.

As in the 2005 Champions League Final, it was the captain who inspired the team to an impossible comeback; a superb cross found Cissé behind the West Ham defence and Liverpool were back in the game.

Within a minute of the start of the second half West Ham had a great chance to restore their two goal lead when Reina denied both Harewood and Benayoun. Undeterred, Liverpool continued to look for the equaliser and in the 54th minute Gerrard pounced on a Crouch knock-down to level for Liverpool.

Still the drama wasn’t over. Konchesky put over a hopeful cross that looped over the Liverpool keeper to restore Liverpool’s lead.

As the stadium announcer voiced his announcement that there would be four minutes of injury time, something amazing happened. Possibly the greatest goal ever scored in an FA Cup final from that man Gerrard again: 3-3.

Extra time failed to split the teams, and so to the dreaded penalty shoot-out. The reds looked far more confident than West Ham, and so it proved. Spot kicks from Hamman, Gerrard and Riise saw Liverpool victorious and the Cup was finally on its way back to Merseyside...

These FA Cup titles are and more are available at £9.99 RRP from all good DVD stockists.
