Al Ruwaya Golf Club, the centerpiece of The Tiger Woods Dubai, an exclusive 55 million sq ft golf community development and a member of Tatweer Dubai, today announced it is forming an International Founding Board of Governors for the Club and is also releasing the first 50 Founder Reserve memberships, available by personal invitation only.
The International Founding Board of Governors, which will be comprised of global leaders and personalities who are interested in this historic golf project, will be formed as an exciting precursor to a worldwide membership invitation program.
Golfers from around the world will also be carefully selected, invited and enrolled on a limited basis in order to closely monitor the worldwide demand for the Al Ruwaya Golf Club, the world’s first design created by Tiger Woods Design. The phased membership releases will also enable the club to gauge regional demand and assure equitable enrolment patterns.

Tatweer is committed to the development, which moves ahead towards completion, subject to programming to meet current market demands. The development continues to progress, with the completion of bulk earth works and 1,800 trees already planted on the golf course and a further 6000 in the nursery. Furthermore, shaping is complete on all 18 holes, 10 of which have been finely shaped. Construction is also complete of the main stream and one of the lakes comprising of the vast 3.3 million sq. ft. of water features incorporated into the golf course.
