Cricket : Blaze win women's Twenty20 title

Congratulations to the State Wellington Blaze for winning the State League Twenty20 title in a thriller against the State Canterbury Magicians.

The Blaze bowled out the Magicians for 123 inside their allotted 20 overs and then chased down the target with nine balls to spare, opener Lucy Doolan scoring 63 off 52 balls.

The previous day's State League 50-over final between the same teams also went down to the wire, Canterbury hitting the winning runs off the last ball of the game.
