Blackcaps squad for 4th ODI announced

New Zealand Cricket has today announced the BLACKCAPS squad for the fourth One-Day International against India, at Hamilton on Wednesday [11 March].

The squad of 12 is:

Daniel Vettori (Captain)
Grant Elliott
Martin Guptill
Brendon McCullum
Peter McGlashan
Kyle Mills
Iain O’Brien
Jacob Oram
Jeetan Patel
Jesse Ryder
Ross Taylor
Ewen Thompson

Head of the selection panel Glenn Turner said Ian Butler was omitted due to injury, after suffering a thigh strain during last night's ODI at Christchurch. He is likely to be available for consideration for the final ODI in Auckland on Saturday. The squad for that game would be named after the Hamilton match.

Daniel Vettori returns to the side, and Peter McGlashan is retained as wicketkeeper while McCullum will continue to play as a batsman.
