Injury change to New Zealand Sevens squad

The New Zealand Sevens team has been forced to make another change to their squad for the Adelaide leg of the IRB World Sevens Series.

Debutant Tutu Tairea from Auckland will replace Otago’s Jeremy Cave who has been ruled out with a knee injury.

Tairea will arrive in Adelaide tomorrow morning and Cave will stay on with his family for the duration of the tournament.

“With the season of injuries we have had the team is well prepared for dealing with late changes to the squad and the challenges it brings. However, the boys are focussed for the weekend and ready for the tournament, “said Coach Gordon Tietjens.

New Zealand kicks off the Adelaide tournament with a game against Wales on Friday night (6.36pm local time).
