Maximum Rugby (www.maximumrugby.com) today announces that Folkestone RFC are the lucky recipients of a prize offered by official sponsor O2, to take part in an England Rugby squad training session, in preparation for their RBS 6 Nations clash with France on Sunday 15th March at Twickenham.
The winners will be able to take part in a coaching session at England’s training base at Pennyhill Park, and get to train with some of England’s elite players. Folkestone RFC were selected at random as the winning club after fulfilling the criteria to enter by joining Maximum Rugby and entering 20 club members by 21st February 2009.
Folkestone Team Manager, Phil Cooper, is delighted with their prize: “We are certainly looking forward to our experience with the England team. Our club are very grateful to Maximum Rugby and O2 for giving us this opportunity, especially as we find the site so useful, for both coaches and players.
“It has been a great addition to our club, making organisation and communication so much quicker and easier – especially for the players away at university, or who are in the military. We now have one central place for us to keep in touch easily and arrange things like training, matches and travel, and it certainly helps with the profile of the club, and the recruitment of new players.”
Nic Fletcher, Head of Sports Sponsorship, Telefónica O2 UK commented: “At O2 we are committed to supporting rugby at every level of the game and are delighted to be giving players this opportunity to train with their heroes.”
