Final reconciliations have shown the crowd topped 20,000 for the Vodafone Warriors’ season-opening NRL clash against Parramatta at Mount Stadium on Saturday night.
The crowd number posted on the night was just under 17,500 but checks today revealed a fault with a scanner.
The revised figure is 20,102, one of the biggest turnouts for the first home match of the season in the club’s history.
Apart from a 30,000-strong crowd for the historic debut appearance against Brisbane in 1995, there have been only three other times when the equivalent fixture attracted a crowd of 20,000.
