WHITE FERN HITS 100

The White Ferns won the toss and batted in excellent conditions at Drummoyne Oval.

Pakistan were without their best performed bowler Almas Akram who split the webbing of her right hand in training yesterday and was operated on today to repair the damage.

For New Zealand, Kate Pulford and Haidee Tiffen put on 34 for the first wicket before Pulford was caught behind for 24, Asmaya Iqbal impressing for Pakistan with her pace and the bounce she was able to extract from the pitch.

Suzie Bates and Tiffen then added 73, Tiffen 34 off 48 balls, Bates 39 off 36 balls when the first drinks break was taken after 17 overs The White Ferns 107/1.

Bates and Tiffen continued to plunder the Pakistani attack , Suzie Bates bringing her 50 up off 49 balls with seven boundaries, Tiffen's 50 off 70 balls and one boundary.Team total 137/1 after 23 overs.

Double New Zealand representative , 21 year old Suzie Bates went onto to score her second ODI century , bringing up three figures off 81 balls 12 fours and 1 six, The White Ferns 206/1 in the 33rd over.
